Heuchera micrantha, commonly known as Crevice Alumroot or Small-flowered Alumroot, is an evergreen perennial native to western North America, found naturally on wet slopes, mossy meadows, and rocky cliffs throughout Oregon. It produces dainty, creamy-white flowers on tall, slender stalks above mounds of scalloped, maple-like foliage.
Key Characteristics & Care
Habitat: Naturally found in west-side forests, the Coast Range, and the Siskiyous, favoring moist, rocky crevices and shady seeps.
Bloom Time: Late spring to mid-summer.
Light Needs: Thrives in part shade to full sun, but requires adequate moisture if placed in bright, sunny spots.
Wildlife: A premier nectar source for native bees and hummingbirds.Garden Use: Excellent for woodland borders, rock gardens, rain gardens, or container planting.
